Cloud Drive Mapper has come a long way in the past 18 months, we've released a number of major updates along the way, but none more significant than our latest: Version 2.1
Version 2.1 (188.8.131.52) of Cloud Drive Mapper has full compatibility with Active Directory Authentication Library (ADAL), which Microsoft commonly refers to as 'modern authentication'. This is true compatibility, which is actually quite a feat because the Microsoft protocols used by Cloud Drive Mapper don't natively support ADAL. It's a nut we've wanted to crack for a while and finally we've achieved it.
What this means is that Cloud Drive Mapper now supports Single Sign-On (SSO) from almost any IDP, from Azure AD to Okta, OneLogin, Ping, ADFS, IAM Cloud (of course), RM Unify, VMWare Identity Manager, Sailpoint and so on. This includes Microsoft Azure AD pass-through authentication. This unlocks full SSO compatibility with our customers using these IDPs, and opens to the door to a lot more organisations who can benefit from using Cloud Drive Mapper.
But, the benefits of ADAL compatibility don't end with SSO, there is another major benefit that our ADAL integration brings to Cloud Drive Mapper...
Multi-Factor Authentication! Cloud Drive Mapper now fully support Office 365 / Azure AD MFA, as well as MFA for other IDPs like Okta and OneLogin. Now you can benefit from ultra-secure mapped drives.
Cloud Drive Mapper just became far more powerful, and we've got some even better news coming soon.
If you're not familiar with Cloud Drive Mapper, by the way, it's the leading enterprise-ready drive mapping system for Office 365 cloud storage, created by Microsoft Gold Partners / Worldwide MS Partners of the Year 2015, IAM Cloud!
