Press Release:
Huddersfield, 10 September 2016 – IAM Cloud, a Yorkshire-based cloud technology firm and identity management specialist, announced today that it has been awarded ISO 27001 – an international certification in information security from the British Standards Institute (BSI).

Achieving the ISO 27001 standard certifies that IAM Cloud has the requisite knowledge, practices and policies in place to ensure an excellent standard of information security management.

The certification is awarded only to those companies that can meet the standard as judged by an independent, accredited team of auditors.

IAM Cloud’s identity platform manages user logins and enterprise security for over 4 million users in hundreds of organisations across 44 countries worldwide. Founded in 2011, IAM Cloud has grown rapidly, and was last year named Microsoft’s Partner of the Year Worldwide for the Education sector.

Ever since the rise of cloud software services like Office 365, Google Apps and Salesforce, identity management systems like IAM Cloud have been essential to help organisations to manage security and user access to the cloud.

Adam Cosby, IAM Cloud CEO, said: “Information security is critical to everything we do. Developing advanced identity management software means using the latest encryption and security technology, but good security goes way beyond technology. It’s about company culture, policies, behaviour, and ultimately it’s about education.”

“Beyond the certification, ISO 27001 is an ongoing process that looks at the big picture of security. We’re proud of the certification, and we’ve come a long way in a short time, but we’re now focused on how we can continue to improve as a business.”
